Introduction:

  • 1 cup fresh peas (Mutter)
  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 2 large tomatoes, pureed

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnishing

Recipe Steps:

Preparing the Base:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds until they crackle.
  2. Stir in ginger and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.

Adding Spices and Tomatoes:

  1. Sprinkle turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Pour in tomato puree. Cook until oil separates.

Bringing Mutter and Paneer Together:

  1. Add peas. Cook until they’re soft.
  2. Toss paneer cubes gently into the mix. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Finish with garam masala and cilantro.

Variations:

Experiment with adding cashew paste for a creamier texture or incorporate bell peppers for an extra veggie crunch. For a vegan version, substitute paneer with tofu.
